January 27, 2020, Budget Meeting Item 11.7, Written Submission

Good afternoon,

I am writing today in regards to Item 11.7 - Response to CQ16-2018 regarding sand base at Willistead Playground.

I currently reside across the street from the park (1815 Richmond St). While I do not have any children of my own, I often bring my nieces and nephews to the park when they visit, but find the current state of the playground to be hazardous.

One thing that would certainly improve the situation would be to replace the sand base with a rubber base. This would help parents/caregivers avoid coming into contact with unseen glass or drug paraphernalia that is hidden in the sand.
