Hello, I am a concerned resident of Walkerville and this email is in support of removing the sand base at Willistead park. My daughter is one year old and I rent out another house in Walkerville to my niece who is two. Bringing the girls to the park is difficult because it is messy and unsafe for the baby, who sometimes puts things in her mouth. The sand makes it hard to run across to get to a child quickly. I am also concerned about the cats in the neighborhood as well as teenagers from the high school and what they might leave in the sand. Please consider this email as my support for any actions regarding removing the sand base.
