OPPOSITION TO RE-ZONING OF 3129 LAUZON ROAD
ZNG-026/20 (ZNG/6173)
Environmental Impact
The proposed site plan only allows for the snow removal to be placed to the west of the development, meters from the Little River. During the winter, salt will be laid down to melt the ice. The salt will eventually be absorbed into the river and possibly harm the current habitat of many species.
Deers and their fawns along with wild turkeys are often seen making their way through private yards abutting the Little River and the proposed development even making their way to the Salvation Army at 3199 Lauzon Road. If 3129 Lauzon were to be developed it is certain that these wild animals would not feel comfortable and safe passing behind the narrow plot of greenery to the west of the development.
