RE: Zoning amendment ZNG/6074 Z-011/20

Thank you for your email of October 30 in which you sent the concept plan for the proposed development noted above. The entire building is proposed to be 16m tall which does not fit in with the current concept of the residential neighbourhood. I do not object to development of this area or the rezoning of the residential section of property, however, I do not support the building of a tall structure in this area.

My main concern is obstruction of my view, I will be looking out my window at a brick wall. Residents will also have a loss of privacy, and more light pollution from lights on the upper floors. No buildings in this area are 4 stories, none in Oldcastle, none on Dougal, none on Walker south of 42. This proposed structure does not fit in with our neighbourhood at all.

Another issue is the amount of traffic already on North Talbot, additional traffic will seriously affect traffic flow and create an unsafe environment for the children in the neighbourhood. This area consists mostly of young families with young children who often cross North Talbot and Pioneer to access the park and playground a block away. There are also environmental considerations with additional pollution plus reduced sunlight for surrounding homes.

I would have no objections to a 2 story structure.

Sincerely
