You will not be reducing any parking spots on the street as no more curb will be cut as the curb is already properly configured. The 2 front yard parking spots will make the project run more smoothly and have less impact on the immediate area.
I believe that these are solid arguments in favor of permitting the 2 existing parking spots to remain. The Planning Department was also in agreement with allowing the 2 front yard parking spots.
I would like the opportunity that was provided to an application immediately following mine from Mr. Al Shipley at the DHSC( Z-003/20 ZNG/6045). Mr. Shipley was permitted the 2 front yard parking spots requested and was directed to work with administration to provide a semi- permeable pavers or a similiar surface to reduce the surface water runoff for the front yard parking.
I would appreciate the support of City Council and respectfully request that City Council approve my development request as was originially proposed to the Planning department, including the provision to allow the 2 parking spaces in the front, and with the recommendation to work with the Administration to investigate the use of a semi permeable pavers or a similiar surface to reduce the surface water runoff for the front yard parking.
I believe that my request is reasonable.
The proposed development is on the City Council Agenda as item #8.7 for this Monday June 1st, 2020.
I will be available to answer any questions at 416-897-9309.
Thank you,
