Fall Hazard Risk – Goyeau to McDougall
A portion of Riverside Drive does not currently have sidewalks and would require temporary fencing to render it safe for pedestrian use.
Along the north side of Riverside Drive between Goyeau Street and McDougall Street, there is a drop-off between the back of curb and the fence at the top of the embankment slope, as shown in Figure 3.
To protect pedestrians from the trip and fall hazards associated with this drop-off, construction fencing would be required along the face of curb in this section (approximately 210 m). The cost for this fencing is included in the cost estimates provided.
