- Children aged 12 and under will ride free with a paying adult fare
- Youth Category (aged 13 - 19)
- Semester (4 months) Student Pass (Students over the age of 19)
- Adult (aged 20 – 59)
- Senior (60+)
Outside of these fare categories, Transit Windsor provides limited discounted fares. There are a few Transit Windsor Board of Directors approved policies for discounted fares that occur annually and on specific dates throughout the calendar year that include:
War Veterans Transit Pass
Resolution T.W. 3614/05 adopted at the meeting of May 12, 2005, provides that:
War veterans are eligible to receive a lifetime Transit Windsor transit pass for unlimited use on the conventional city service (Tunnel Bus services excluded) in the City of Windsor. The following veterans, residing in the City of Windsor, are eligible:
- Canadian or Allied veterans who participated in active service during WWII
- Canadian or Allied veterans who participated in active service during the Korean War
- Canadian or Allied veterans who participated in active service during the Vietnam War
Special dates recognized for Veterans and Cadets (in uniform)
Resolution T.W. 47/2014 adopted at the meeting of September 9, 2014, provides:
That the Transit Windsor Board of Directors REVISE the War Veterans' policy to include the provision of free service to any person in military uniform on D-Day (June 6), Raid on Dieppe (August 19) and Veteran's Day (November 11).
Student and Senior Recognition Weeks
Resolution T.W. 29/2014 adopted at the meeting of May 13, 2014, provides:
- I. That the Transit Windsor Board of Directors APPROVE a policy to provide reduced fares to students during March Break week; and
- II. That the Transit Windsor Board of Directors APPROVE a policy to provide reduced fares to seniors the first week of June during Senior's Month; and
