Diversity Committee, Annual Report - 2019
The City of Windsor's Diversity Committee works towards helping to make Windsor's commitment towards a just, equitable and inclusive city a reality. It proactively works to improve access and equity and to challenge racism and discrimination through awareness, vigilance and education.

Accomplishments
- ● New Diversity Advisory Committee was formed for the term of Council.
- ● The Committee had a goal planning session
- ● The Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, Phase One that was approved by City Council in June 2018 (CR361/2018) is continuing as planned.
- ● The majority of the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative Action Items are currently in progress. The full Annual Diversity and Inclusion initiative update will be presented to the Diversity Committee and Council early in 2020. Here are several highlights
- ○ Creation of a corporate internal interdepartmental diversity committee, called the Inclusive Action Network (IAN) that reports to the Diversity Committee of Council on the progress of the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative along with the Diversity and Accessibility Officer. This network met on a monthly basis to help guide corporate next steps and projects under the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative.
