Recognizing both the inherent importance of janitorial supplies to daily functioning as well as the broad nature of potential purchases under the corporate-wide contract and considering how many such purchases fall outside of the sample set, pricing is not as significant a criterion as quality of services, keeping in mind environmentally preferable products.

Evaluation of the RFP

An evaluation committee was struck which included 4 members from the City. The committee reviewed and graded all submissions independently and subsequently met as a group to determine consensus scores on all aspects of the proposal.

Responses

Four submissions were received. Three passed the requirements of envelop A to proceed to the opening of the cost submission, and all three proposals had compliant responses. The successful proponent would be the proponent with the highest combined score on envelop A and B.
