RE: Response to CQ22-2019 regarding License Agreement with the Ontario Heritage Trust for use of the Interpretation Centre at the Duff-Bâby Mansion and Main Floor at 221 Mill Street

I am writing today in support of the above-noted request from Les Amis Duff-Bâby for a review of the status of the lease agreement of the Duff-Bâby Mansion. I understand that this issue has been on-going for some time and requires further funding.

As the federal Member of Parliament for Windsor West, I would be happy to pursue further avenues of federal funding through Tourism Canada and Heritage Canada or any other avenues that may present opportunities for further funding of this building in the long-term.

As you are aware, the Duff-Bâby Mansion is a critical part of our local history and I would be pleased to help ensure that our community can continue accessing this building and heritage site for years to come.

Thank you kindly in advance for your time and attention to this letter. Should you have any questions, or if you wish to pursue federal funding options in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out either by email at brian.masse@parl.gc.ca or by phone at 613-996-1541.
