Discussion:
The event is similar from an operational set up as the Heartbreaker Challenge held annually at Malden Park in the month of May. 365 Sports Inc. would enter the site on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 to begin setting up the obstacles and event features.
To ensure the event is operationally sound, the following agenda items will be reviewed with the event organizers by Parks staff and staff from Recreation and Culture:
Event Operational Expectations:
- To use only the area of Malden Park as outlined in a Property Schedule of the Agreement, and to keep it, including all public washrooms, clean;
- To leave Malden Park in the same condition it was and to repair back to its original state should any damage to the turf or hard surface area occur;
- To restore any turf displaced for the accommodation of apparatuses for the event;
- To remove all refuse from the event site after the completion of the event;
- To replace any damaged municipally-owned equipment, apparatuses, or plant material caused by the event or its participants;
- To clearly identify obstacle course boundaries;
- To provide adequate and sufficient staffing and volunteer assignment;
- To provide adequate temporary washroom facilities;
- Submission of an operations plan and facility outline to Park and Recreation & Culture departments for approval prior to the event;
- To adhere to all certifications/permits/regulations as per industry standards and requirement (i.e./ Health and Safety Act/Electrical Safety Association/Windsor and Essex County Health Unit);
- To comply with all police, fire, safety and sanitary laws, by-laws and regulations of the Corporation, the Windsor Police Services Board, any Provincial or Federal authority, and fire insurance underwriters;
