Create Virtual Study Groups
A benefit of FIDM is its small class sizes. Instructors get to know their students, and attending office hours fosters this connection. Other excellent online resources like tutoring and research databases are accessible through the IDEA Center and Library under FIDM Student Hub on Canvas.
Rolling out of bed two minutes before class starts is a perk of online learning, but this practice may not produce the most successful outcome. Create a morning routine that works for you—one that gets you excited to wake up and sets the tone for a productive day.
Help prevent procrastination, promote the understanding of course material, and stay connected to peers during social distancing with online study groups. There are many great programs to use like Zoom, Skype, Facetime, and Google Hangouts.
