Dear Mayor Dilkens

On behalf of the Windsor Parade Corporation we would like to thank the City of Windsor for their sponsorship of the 52 nd Annual Windsor Santa Claus Parade, held in the reverse drive thru format at St. Clair College.

This year has been full of challenges to our efforts to organize events and we are so very grateful to the City of Windsor and their staff for their support for this endeavor. The parade was very well attended to the point of being over capacity, and although there were disappointed families we were still able to offer some entertainment to over 1500 cars that passed by on the parade route. Disappointment especially for the children is never easy to hear, and we are hopeful that some of them will take in the parade on YourTV ’ s recorded version. The final voice overs have been provided to this taping and it will be available shortly to the public for their viewing pleasure with special recognition being given to The City of Windsor as presenting sponsor. YourTV staff has indicated that the broadcast may be available on YouTube allowing for a greater viewing audience.

We are particularly grateful to all of the City of Windsor staff who made this possible, including your office, Parks and Recreation and Police Services under the direction of Sgt. Gary Williams. Community events of this magnitude are never possible without great community partners, and we were very pleased to partner this year with the City of Windsor for this endeavor
