- Increased response times. In the event of an emergency, the now availability of the response vehicle takes twice the time to be active as the service employee has to make two (2) vehicles ready for the road. These times may be hindered even further by inclement weather. In some rare cases, the service rep. may have passed by the emergency situation to retrieve the service vehicle.
- Further requests. If Council grants parking privileges to certain requestors, how does it judge the validity and prioritization of one requestor over a further application? With bylaws currently in place as to the time frames of legal parking procedures on certain corporately owned properties, enforcement would be difficult as to who is allowed to be on this property.
- Maintenance of properties. Vehicles parked for a longer time frame than normal may hinder lot maintenance in inclement weather situations, as well as normally scheduled property maintenance.
