The surface of the alley is comprised of a mixture of asphalt, gravel and grass. There are no sewers or manholes located in the proposed alley closure. There are hydro poles, guy wires and overhead utility lines located in the alley for which easements will be required.
The applicant is requesting the closure as a condition of the Site Plan Approval process.
Closure and conveyance of the full width of “Part 1” of the alley to the applicant will allow for redevelopment of this site to proceed for needed new residential development along this portion of Wyandotte St E in the Walkerville Planning District.
