Recommendation:

That the School Neighbourhood Policy BE WAIVED to allow a time-limited accessible parking zone on McDougall Street at the Windsor Residence (1101 McDougall Street),

That Parking By law 9023 BE AMENDED as listed and attached in Appendix 1 of this report,

That Traffic By-law 9148 BE AMENDED as listed and attached in Appendix 2 of this report,

That the City Solicitor BE DIRECTED to prepare the necessary documents to amend the by law, and
-
That a pre-commitment of $7,003 against 2022 for the School Neighbourhood Policy program (project OPS-001-18) BE APPROVED.

Background:
James L. Dunn Public School
The Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) received site plan approval in November 2019 for a new elementary school at 1123 Mercer Street. Since this time, the GECDSB has announced that the school will be named the James L. Dunn Public School. The approved site plan for the school is attached as Appendix 3.
