Background:
At its May 25, 2020 meeting, Council passed the following resolution in response to report C 87/2020, “Lane Closures for Physical Distancing - Wyandotte BIAs:”
CR264/2020

That Administration BE DIRECTED to refer requests from Business Improvement Areas for Temporary Parking Pick-up Zones and Curb Lane Pedestrian Zones to the Special Events Resource Team (SERT); and,
-
That, in cases where these zones are supported by SERT, that the requests BE REFERRED to the Chief of Police to approve appropriate temporary parking restrictions as necessary to be in effect for the duration of the declared COVID-19 emergency; and,
-
That, where the requested zones are supported by SERT and the appropriate temporary parking restrictions have been approved by the Chief of Police, Administration BE DIRECTED to implement
