Background of Applicant
KJ Land Resources Inc. is part of the NARMCO Group of Companies. (“NARMCO’).
Kidomat CanadaLimited (“KIDOMAT”) and Jarf Holdings Limited (“JARF”) are the parent companies of KJ Land ResourcesInc.that is the subject of this application. JARF and KIDOMATare 100% owned and controlled by members of the Rodzik Family.
NARMCOwasfoundedin Windsorin 1944 and has four manufacturing operations within the Windsorcity limits, NARMCOis an anachronism for over a dozen operating units in three countries, all engaged in the integrated manufacture of complex automotive parts and assemblies, as well as related production tooling and support equipment.
Privately owned and entrepreneurially managed by the Rodzik Family, NARMCO has grown to sales in excess of $400,000,000 and an employee base of over 1,370 people. In the City of Windsor, NARMCOcurrently employs over 550 people.
NARMCOisproudto includes almost all major worldwide Original Equipment Manufacturers in its customer base and have been the recipient on many quality awards.
The Project
There are two components to the Project, as follows:
- Renovation of existing 8250 SF office space to support the state of the art office and administration staff
- New Addition to the existing office of 12,120 SF to house corporate and executive staff. Becoming the NARMCOworldwide headquarters facility.
In addition, there will be related site (parking) and infrastructure improvements.
The entire committed budget for this Project is $4,000,000.In this total,it is estimated that the increase in potential taxable assessment will be in the range of $2,500,000 to $3,000,000.
