Recommendations to mitigate risk of basement, surface and coastal flooding have been developed based on the established level of service.

The effectiveness of solutions rely on a partnership between private property owners and the City.

The total cost of recommendation solutions will be $4.90 Billion Dollars, which will be integrated into the City’s capitals works program.

The ultimate solution recommendations will need to be integrated into the City’s asset management program.

City will need to enhance their current operation and maintenance programs for new and larger infrastructure.

The City will review the need to complete a detailed formal review and/or update of the master plan every 5 years. Potential changes which may trigger the need for a detailed review are as follows:

Major changes to original assumptions;

Major changes to components of the Master Plan;

Significant new environmental effects; and

Major changes in proposed timing of projects within the Master Plan.
