Re: File # ICB Exemptions 2020-8
Hello Ms. Toldo
Please find attached my email sent to Mr. Adam Szymczak on July 9, 2020 regarding my opinion regarding the possibility of a Transport terminal being in the neighbourhood in which I reside. Myself, along with several of my neighbours oppose to a transport terminal being allowed on the site of Metcalfe Street, Windsor Ont.
Our neighbourhood is presently a quiet, safe residential area and we DO NOT wish this to change, especially with having a transport terminal brought so near to our homes. There are several children that presently reside near Metcalfe Street. These precious children are our future and I do not want any of them (or the other residents, some of which are elderly) to be exposed to the many harmful and unsafe factors that will most definitely affect and impose on their lives in a negative way; most importantly being their health & overall well-being from being exposed to the ramifications of allowing a transport terminal on this site. Many of these children & adults walk to enjoy the nearby Garry Dugal park on Drouillard Road. They also frequent the Gino Marcus bldg. Safety for our residents would be highly compromised.
In my letter below I have stated many reasons for mine & my neighbours strong opposition to having a transport terminal in/near our homes.
I appreciate your taking the time to read my letter.
Yours to oblige,
Dixie Johns
