7.2.2 General Policies

TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM DEFINITION

7.2.2.1 For the purpose of this Plan, the Transportation System refers to all modes of transportation and their corresponding facilities, including walking, cycling, public transportation, roads, border crossings, rail, air and water transportation.

SCHEDULE F: ROADS & BIKEWAYS

7.2.2.2 The following existing and future components of the transportation system shall be designated on Schedule F: Roads and Bikeways:

  1. Expressway;
  2. Class I Arterial Road;
  3. Class II Arterial Road;
  4. Class I Collector Road;
  5. Class II Collector Road;
  6. Local Road; and
  7. Provincial Highway.

TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN

7.2.2.3 Council shall require the implementation, monitoring and updating of a long range transportation master plan that:

  1. Examines the long range transportation system requirements of Windsor its adjacent interdependent municipalities and interconnecting provincial highways;
  2. Provides principles, policies and strategic plans which address long term transportation system needs from a comprehensive perspective, consistent with this Plan;
  3. Identifies major problems, deficiencies, or opportunities in the transportation system;
  4. Identifies and evaluates various alternative solutions available to solve long range transportation system problems and opportunities;
