Conclusion:
Carbon budgets are a powerful tool for tracking and guiding climate change mitigation efforts. Using the IPCC C40 methodology the total carbon budget for Windsor is 26.3 Megatonnes. At current emissions levels, the City of Windsor will exhaust its carbon budget in 2029. Drastic action needs to be taken in order to reduce emissions in order for Windsor to do its part to align with IPCC targets.
