BY-LAW NUMBER 140-2020
A BY-LAW TO FURTHER AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 9-2019 BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH STANDARDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OCCUPANCY OF ALL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WINDSOR
Passed the 28th day of September, 2020.
WHEREAS By-law Number 9-2019, being a by-law to establish standards for the maintenance and occupancy of all property in the City of Windsor, was passed on the 21st day of January, 2019.
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-law Number 9-2019.
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the City of Windsor enacts as follows:
1. That By-law Number 9-2019 be amended by deleting section 1.21 of Schedule “A” in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
“1.21 A property shall be deemed to be serviced by an available City sewer system if the sewer system is within 30.0 metres of any said property abutting municipal rights-of-way. In the event a City sewer system becomes available, the property owner will have one (1) year, or such other time period as may be approved by Council by Council Resolution, to connect to the available sewer and decommission the private sewage system per section 1.23. The availability of the sewer will be determined by the City Engineer.”
This by-law shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing thereof.
