BY-LAW NUMBER 128-2020

A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 208-2008, BEING A BY-LAW TO DELEGATE TO ADMINISTRATION THE AUTHORITY TO PROCESS, MAKE DECISIONS ON, AND TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS FOR CERTAIN MATTERS

Passed the 28th day of September, 2020.

WHEREAS By-law Number 208-2008 was passed by the Council of The Corporation of the City of Windsor on December 1, 2008;

AND WHEREAS By-law Number 208-2008 has been amended from time to time;

AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to further amend said By-law Number 208-2008 of The Corporation of the City of Windsor;

THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the City of Windsor enacts as follows:

1. THAT By-law Number 208-2008 be further amended by adding the following sections to Section 3. Council further delegates to the Administration of the City of Windsor the authority to process, decide upon and execute agreements for the following matters subject to the favourable recommendation of the responsible executive director:

“3.43    Authority for the Chief Administrative Officer to approve future Olde Sandwich Towne Community Improvement Plan Grant Programs for the following:

  1. Neighbourhood Residential Rehabilitation Grant Program applications to a maximum of $15,000 and where sufficient budget funding is available. Such approval to be based on the recommendation of the City Planner as to technical merit and the City Treasurer as to financial considerations, and that all such approvals be reported to Council semi annually as part of the normal reporting of DOA approvals; and

  2. Development and Building Fee Grant Program applications when the Grant is requested as part of the Neighbourhood Residential Rehabilitation Grant only, to a maximum of $15,000 and where sufficient budget funding is available. Such approval to be based on the recommendation of the City Planner as to technical merit and the City Treasurer as to financial considerations, and that all such approvals be reported to Council semi annually as part of the normal reporting of DOA approvals.
