Hello,
I wanted to bring to your attention the proposed notice of motion regarding the Hospital listed for the November 9 Council meeting. This is a crucial time for the health and wellbeing of our community to be supported. Currently the Windsor-Essex hospital systems are not in good shape. With a pandemic in full swing, poor hygiene management, transfering critical care patients from one campus to the next, crammed rooms, and crumbling infrastructure, how could anyone, patient or caregiver, feel safe!? There is so much need for an improvement and more room that when they received a long-awaited $3.5 million PET/CT scanner critical for identifying early-stage cancers they had to resort to putting it in a trailer! Only a new hospital will be able to have new PET/CT scanners, MRI machines, and cath labs directly integrated into the building. There are countless reasons why supporting the new Windsor-Essex Hospitals System is essential. Please take action in support!
Thank you,
Christine Durocher
