The Honourable Doug Ford

Premier of Ontario

As an Ontario Architect licensed to practice in this Province 56 years now passed and having served on the Ontario Association of Architects governing Council concerning matters of architectural significance (1971-73, 1976-79 & 2004-06). As per the Province of Ontario Legislative parameters that affect the public interest/welfare, this mail is to inform Your Office of the need to apprise you of what a significant segment of our population perceive to be a disturbing Motion to be addressed Windsor City Council.

My dissertation is as follows, that was originally formulated as an Opinion rendered to the Windsor Star on this Sunday past. As per my effort, Campp informed me of an imminent Motion to be presented to Windsor City Council

I personally felt you might wish to express interest in this matter as per your self referenced connotation as an "800 pound gorilla", fighting for Windsor, to bring a new hospital into reality is much appreciated. I would hope that you might believe that municipal social identity defines Urban design and is contiguous with progress toward construction of a truly functional, properly situated new regional hospital on a Core City site. Such a phenomenon is not rare as prevails in might I surmise a significant number if not all Canadian "Metropoli" (ie Princess Margaret, Toronto General, St. Mikes, Mount Sinai.)

Isn't it time that political will, expressed within the principles of rational Urban planning, should embark on a process where perception and sound government practice and execution recognize the core values of a major component that defines "Municipal Identity" where government, education, health and other major Urban Design considerations do condition structure toward• identity of the "City Centre"

Sincerest regards, /William Kachmaryk, B. Arch. (UofT '62), OAA, Architec
