Hi,
I needed to voice my concern about the proposed notice of motion regarding the Hospital listed for the November 9 Council meeting. The state of repair at Windsor-Essex’s hospitals are a serious issue that needs not only words but action! Windsor's frontline workers deserve better. The building is falling apart and that is unnacceptable for a hospital providing critical care for its community. The crumbling infrastructure is impacting patient service. It’s now common for procedures and surgeries to be delayed as a result of building repairs. That is absolutely ridiculous. Children, the elderly, the entire community relies on their hospital to be able to support them when they need it most. Its time to take some serious action and support the new Windsor-Essex Hospitals System.
As a former nurse I feel we critically need a new , up to date hospital in our region. The time is now before more money is needed to repair our aging buildings. I worked in the 3 hospitals at different times during my 37 year career and they were aging then!
Let’s not delay better health service for our area any longer.
Sincerely,
Carol Moore
