Hello there,

When I think of the most important place to have high hygiene standards and systems it would be a hospital. Considering the current state of the Windsor-Essex hospitals system, I urge you to pay attention to the proposed notice of motion regarding the Hospital listed for the November 9 Council meeting. I want to feel safe in my community and knowing that some patient washrooms in the Winsor-

Essex hospitals system don’t even have sinks, meaning that many patients have to walk across an entire floor to wash their hands after using the toilet, makes me feel very unsafe. In usual times this would be incredibly unacceptable and since the pandemic has hit, this is down right scary. Please support the new Windsor-Essex Hospitals System so that I can feel safe in my community!

Through my own personal experience at the Ouellette campus the washroom in the room was soo tiny I was unable to use it. I was in a car accident and was unable to bend my leg. I was in a wheelchair the entire 2 plus weeks and was unable to use the bathroom facilities. How degrading !!!! It was bad enough enduring the pain associated with my injuries but to have to be confined to a bed pan due to the layout of the bathroom is UNACCEPTABLE!!! The new hospital will be built with new planning and safety measures in place.
