7 Reasons why Windsor should NOT conduct a trial period permitting e-scooters on the Riverfront Trail paved path.
1.) As a citizen of Windsor and a riverfront user I hereby state I will not indemnify the city for any personal injury-liability or hold it harmless regarding its decision to inflict this unnecessary danger on my person.
2.) A benchmark for the data regarding the number of acceptable injuries and or deaths during the trial as well as lawsuits, has not been set.
3.) No matter what signage is posted or education providing the danger of a little child toddling into the path of one of these silent missiles resulting in serious injury or death is too high.
4.) It's unacceptable to put the public in harm's way in order to gather death data for a trial or study.
5.) There is nothing active about this mode of transportation.
6.) They are silent so particularly dangerous to the blind and partially sighted.
