LIST OF DEFINITIONS

Environmental Monitor – The Environmental Monitor is defined as a person with the following qualifications: five or more years’ experience in environmental monitoring for construction projects; a technician or technologist diploma or higher in a related environmental field from a recognized college; experience for providing advice and recommendations to upper management on environmental issues.

Fisheries Biologist – The Fisheries Biologist is defined as a person with the following qualifications; ten or more years’ experience in the field of fisheries biology; an undergraduate degree or higher in biology from a recognized university; experience providing advice with respect to a variety of environmental issues as they relate to fisheries resources.

Contractor – Lead Contractor(s) on the Gordie Howe International Bridge site.

Environmental Professional – The Environmental Professional is defined as a person with the following qualifications: ten or more years’ experience in their field of expertise; an undergraduate degree or higher in a related environmental field from a recognized university; experience in providing advice with respect to environmental issues and compliance, risk management assessments, obtaining approvals, liaising with agencies, development and implementation of plans and monitoring programs; providing advice on specific environmental issues.
