Risk Analysis:

The existing unit is at the end of its useful life. Any delay in replacement may result in costly repairs to the unit and the Environmental Division risks being unable to provide the expected level of service.

Financial Matters:

This unit has been approved by the Fleet Review Committee in consideration of forecasted fleet replacements and additions and by City Council during the 2019 capital budget process CR B8/2019. Additional funding for this unit was also approved per CR448/2019 (C 147/2019).

The total cost of the street sweeper and accessories is $374,609.00 excluding HST, or $381,202.12 including non-refundable HST.

The approved budget for this purchase is $400,000.00 excluding non-refundable HST and contingency.

Replacement cost will be charged to the 2019 Corporate Fleet Replacement Project 7191001 in which sufficient uncommitted funds remain.
