Subject: A By-Law for the Repair and Improvements to the Grand Marais Drain - Wards 1, 5, 9 and 10

Recommendation:

 I. THAT Council GIVE 3RD READING to Provisional By-law 119-2019 which adopted the Drainage Report for the Repair and Improvement to the Grand Marais Drain in accordance with Section 58 of the Drainage Act, and

II. THAT Council PRE-COMMIT $1,000,000 within the 2020 – 8 year Capital Budget for the Grand Marais Drain (ECP-028-07) as detailed in the following years for immediate use;

III. THAT the Chief Administrative Officer and City Clerk BE AUTHORIZED to sign a contract with the low tenderer, in accordance with the Purchasing Bylaw, subject to the tender falling within the approved budget and satisfactory in form to the City Solicitor, in financial content to the City Treasurer, and in technical content to the City Engineer.
