Outdoor Circuit Training
Circuit Training moves you from one strength exercise to another without stopping, providing you with a high-intensity fat-burning workout. This program will utilize the fitness equipment installed at Cavan Street Park and surrounding trails for cardio. Location: Cavan Street Outdoor Fitness Park

Stretch Out Sundays
Stretch Out Sundays Free guided Yoga provided by Spraoi Yoga outside in Memorial Park. All bodies, ages and skill level welcomed to find their centre in downtown Port Hope. Location: Memorial Park

CAVAN STREET PARK
Outdoor Fitness Park
The outdoor fitness park at Cavan Street Park is ready for you to use. This equipment, geared to ages 13 yrs+, is available to those who are out on the trail, or those that want to enjoy the benefits of physical activity in an outdoor setting.
Did you know that adults should participate in 150 minutes of physical activity per week? Doing this will improve functional abilities, enhance balance and prevent falls. It is also beneficial to add muscle and bone strengthening using major groups at least two times per week. Now is the time to get started! csep.ca/guidelines
OUR FITNESS STAFF ARE PROFESSIONAL, CERTIFIED FITNESS INSTRUCTORS
Our fitness instructors are qualified specialists who have extensive training in the fitness field. It is standard for all fitness instructors to be certified under the following bodies:
- ✓ Fitness instructor specialist with canfitpro, TRX, YMCA of Canada
- ✓ Canadian Yoga Alliance or other certifying body
- ✓ Speciality certification if teaching specialized class such as Yoga
- ✓ CPR/AED certificated
- ✓ Valid and satisfactory Police Records Check and vulnerable sector search
- ✓ Heart Wise certification preferred
A qualified Fitness Instructor Specialist can lead groups in various formats of warm up, cardiovascular conditioning, muscle strength and endurance training, stretching and relaxation and cool-down.
Interested in participating in a class but not sure where to start? We welcome you to stop into one of our classes and watch free of charge to see if is something you are interested in. Instructors will answer any questions or concerns that you may have. You can also pay a drop in fee to participate in any class. See page 26 for the fees.
PORT HOPE WALKERS
Participate in the Indoor Walking program and stay safe while being active. Enjoy some exercise and music while meeting new people.
