Just off the course, fans can catch nine innings then head to Kenmore Square just beyond left field to cheer from the one-mile-to-go checkpoint. The Red Sox have been scheduled to play a home game on Patriots' Day every year since 1959. In the evening, Fenway Park will transform into the home of the Boston Marathon Mile 27 Post-Race Party presented by Samuel Adams.

The Patriots' Day Mile was established to encourage athletes of all ages and abilities to get outside and log a mile in honor of America's most historic running day. More than 5,000 athletes participated, including 2018 Boston Marathon champion Des Linden, who broke the tape on Boylston Street alongside community heroes being recognized for their service to others.
