Crowning Champions

There are many paths to victory along the fabled 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston.

For Benson Kipruto, that path meant following up on what he learned as a Boston rookie in 2019.

For Diana Kipyokei, it meant following in the footsteps — sometimes literally — of 2017 Boston champion Edna Kiplagat, who at the age of

41 is one of the most accomplished marathoners in history.

And for wheelchair veterans Marcel Hug and Manuela Schär, it meant following no one, from start to finish.
