Background:
The property has been on the Windsor Municipal Heritage Register since 2007. The current owners requested for heritage designation of the property which was designated by City Council through By-law No. 7-2010 on January 11, 2010. The five roof domes are a prominent design feature of the church and they are included as heritage attributes in the designation bylaw. These domes are in need of repair, and Council approved in CR 499/2019 a Heritage Alteration Permit for the replacement of the five roof domes to zinc metal roofing, and also $16,000 from the Community Heritage Fund (Reserve Fund 157) for the work (Report Number: SCM 337/2019 & S 160/2019).
