Meeting Minutes

Information regarding the use of social media is provided to the Board members. As confirmed by the City of Windsor’s Senior Manager of Communications and Customer Service, the Board is permitted to have their own social media accounts provided that they are speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors and not the City of Windsor. Any posts should be related to Willistead Manor and should be of a positive nature. The members are reminded that they must follow the Code of Conduct for Members of Council and Local Boards, which was provided to them.

The Board members discuss the current Standing Committee structure and the members each select the Committees they feel they could be most valuable. The final list will be confirmed at the next meeting of the Board of Directors.

5. CHAIRPERSON’S REPORT

The Chair provides a verbal update regarding the Mayor’s reception that was held on Sunday, January 26th, 2020, at which a donation in the amount of $ 35,734 was presented by the Rotary Club of Windsor and a donation in the amount of $ 4,000 was presented by the Friends of Willistead.

6. REPORTS

6.1 Management

C. Masterson, Manager of Cultural Affairs, provides information regarding events at the Manor which includes the following:

The total number of guests that attended these events is 5,524.

T. Graziano, Senior Manager of Facilities, informs the Board members that the intrusion alarm system at both the Coach House and the Manor are in the process of being upgraded.

T. Graziano also informs that the flooring project in the Saltmarche Gallery (also known as the North/East Gallery) is underway. The carpet has been removed and the hardwood floor which is currently exposed, will be repaired and refinished. T. Graziano adds that some painting is currently being completed in the Manor.
