Percentiles

Percentile is a statistical calculation based on the distribution of data points using a formula which defines the lowest case as 1% and the highest case as 100%. The rank order of the cases is between 1 and 100 percent and are then divided into equal intervals. For example:

50th	The Median. 50% of the data is below and 50% of the data is above
65th	At the 65th percentile, 65% of the data falls below this point and 35 % of the data is above this point.
75th	At the 75th percentile, 75% of the data falls below this point and 25 % of the data is above this point.
