SPILL PREVENTION AND CONTINGENCY PLAN
AMBASSADOR BRIDGE
. If the employee cansafely stop thespill at the source, this should be done.
. The Shift Supervisorwill investigate and confirm thespill and will;
+ Determine the source,if possible;
* Assessthe size and natureofthe spilled material (oil, chemicals);
* The Supervisorwill communicate directly with the Command Centerto identify the spilled product and safely take immediate action to stop or reducethespill and containit, without endangering the health and safety of the workers or local population;
* Takeanyaction possible to reduce hazards to persons working nearthespill.
. The General Manageror designatewill re-locate and /or communicate directly with the Command Centerif the spill is considered major, such as but notlimited to:
+ Agastank rupture;
* Areleaseof oil or chemical outside of the AmbassadorBridge property or any ofits facilities;
+ Anyrelease of a substanceto the Detroit River;
+ Asspill to the storm water drainage system that has the potential for release to the Detroit River; or
