Gordon Ebsch Delraymech@ameritech.net 30346 Windsor Drive, Gibraltar , MI 48173 Allowing Hazardous Materials to cross the Ambassador Bridge is a risk that neither Michigan nor Ontario’s Economy would benefit from. The movement of those materials between Boarders via the Bridge would certainly add the risk of Terrorist attack.I do not believe Ambassador Bridge Company has the infrastructure in place to control containment of Hazardous Materials from spilling into Detroit River. When the Bridge is jammed with Traffic, how would Emergency Service respond? Time is a critical factor. The immediate Health and Safety of the General Public traveling adjacent to these trucks increases dramatically due to the confines of the Bridge. The Bridge Company needs to explain how they will protect the safety of those people using the Bridge with the Hazardous Material Trucks. Public meetings with MDOT, Homeland Security, Customs, First Responders including the Detroit Police and other Stake Holders should be conducted to get a true sense of the risks for the General Public using the Bridge.Gordy
