Gregg Ward, Detroit Windsor Truck Ferry greggward@truckferry.com 1475 Springwells Ct, Detroit, MI 48209 Any change in rules should be to enhance public safety and protect our critical trade infrastructure. This proposal fails on both points.Hazardous material restrictions on the Ambassador Bridge have been continuous since 1929. Experts have consistently determined those trucks would be an endangerment to public safety. If anything, with the aging infrastructure and heavy car/truck traffic volumes, the need to keep the restrictions in place are more important today than ever. This proposal pleases the local billionaire bridge owner but ignores the public interest.
