hazardous materials on to the bridge. In addition, the Ambassador Bridge does not segregate passenger vehicles from cargo traffic. It is imperative that the busiest border crossing in North America is protected from any possible closures, interruptions or damages from hazmat spills or accidents.

Trucks transporting hazardous materials can continue to use the Blue Water Bridge and Detroit Windsor Truck Ferry, as they always have. Soon, the Gordie Howe International Bridge will open as a modern and responsible route for hazardous materials. There is simply no reason to lift the restrictions on hazardous materials transport on the Ambassador Bridge.

DIBC has a long track record of putting profits before safety and has repeatedly been a bad actor on numerous fronts.

The State of Michigan has a responsibility to protect us from harm. To protect our public health, public safety and environment, please reject the request from DIBC.

The undersigned 422 residents (see following pages)
