Subject: Proposed Construction of Sanitary Sewer and Private Drain Connections on Baseline Road from 7th Concession Road to 8th Concession Road — REVISED POLICY 

The following is a report for the construction of sanitary sewer and private drain connections on Baseline Road from 7th Concession Road to 8fil Concession Road prepared under a new proposed Local Improvement Consolidation Policy. It is proposed to carry out this work under the provisions of Ontario Regulation 586/06, made under the Municipal Act 2001 by applying to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal to undertake the proposed work as a local improvement. 

A City by-law to undertake the work as a local improvement under Section 5 of Ontario Regulation 586/06 will be recommended to Council for approval, provided that NO OBJECTIONS to the work being undertaken are filed under Section 8 of Ontario Regulation 586/06 within 30 days after the notice of the City's intention to pass the by-law is given to the public and to the affected property owners. 

The estimated cost of local improvement portion of the work is $1,153,000, HST excluded, for the sanitary sewer, private drain connections and road and boulevard restoration. The total estimated cost for the Baseline project including water main is $2,722,368. Watermain construction costs will be recovered by Enwin - Water Division and the balance of the cost of reconstruction work here within noted will be charged to the City's Capital Works Budget. 

A portion of the local improvement cost thereof will be assessed against the abutting properties detailed as follows:
