I am writing regarding the proposed notice of motion regarding the Hospital listed for the November 9 Council meeting. I was a first year student nurse at the Ouellette Campus ( formerly Hotel Dieu) when the 1962 wing was opened . At that time the rooms , even the ward rooms seemed spacious and welcoming. Look at them today and they are over crowded with equipment used today to monitor patients. Staff and patients deserve better than this. When I visit someone in one of those rooms, I think that I am in a third world country hospital. Its time to address this! I support the new Windsor-Essex Hospitals System because it's the right thing to do. People like me and so many more are counting on you.
