Your worship and members of city council,

I am writing in regards to Nov 9 agenda item #15. I do not support the construction of the new regional acute care hospital on county road 42. I am asking that you oppose the motion. This greenfield development beyond the city’s airport goes against Windsor’s active transportation plan. I am an avid bike rider and bike to most locations around the city. No one will be able to bike or walk to this very distant hospital. Close to 4000 people work at the hospital. Others frequent the hospital to volunteer or to visit loved ones or for appointments. Hundreds of people walk through the doors of our hospitals everyday. Some arrive by car, but others do walk or bike or take mass transit. The city’s only hospital built beyond the airport means everyone would be arriving by car. A new hospital built within the city’s existing footprint would allow for active
