Dear Sir /Madam
I am writing to voice my opinion to the City Of Windsor Councilors about the proposed Mega Hospital.
I am concerned and strongly oppose the planned placement of the new mega hospital in undeveloped land in Sandwich South County road 42..The infrastructure will cost thousands of City Of Windsor tax dollars. These are monies that will be needed to support the proposed development of the 990 acre farmland.with no benefit to the citizens of Windsor who will bear the burden of increased taxes. This will be a burden for many years to come. It will come at a cost of the neglect of the city centre that needs much infrastructure as well ..These aging utilities need replacement. You seem to be willing to spend perhaps millions developing a new area creating more urban sprawl and letting the original city centre decay .
This whole project goes against the Provinces own environmental guidelines of reducing urban sprawl If this hospital is built on County rd. 42 it will be the only hospital in Ontario with such a distance from the city core(13Km)More carbon emissions , more pollution will be spewed into our atmosphere.
What do people do that have no access to a car or transportation of any kind. ?
This was an ill conceived project from the start and one that I believe was politically motivated and not in the interest of the citizens of Windsor.
