ENWIN is the licensed water system operator for WUC. As part of the ENWIN Group of Companies, our mission is to provide safe and reliable energy and water services in a cost effective, sustainable manner.

A core premise of our Strategic Direction is that our service model is undergoing significant transformation — taking on a more decentralized, customer-centric, technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable form. That is why the Board of Commissioners, in 2019, renewed this mission with the added priority of ensuring that our business remains sustainable.

Sustainability means different things to different people.

To WUC, it means ensuring that we have the human, fiscal and capital asset resources to continue to provide existing and modernized service levels to the community. We must also assess our environmental footprint to make certain that we are balanced in our use of resources.

Our Vision is to be a trusted leader in providing exceptional value and services to our customers and stakeholders.

As the energy and water needs and options of our customers and our community evolve — and as signature projects and developments proceed — WUC will play a leading role in helping our city to become a smart energy centre with a reliable potable water system.

We embrace our role in the service of water distribution and will continue our work in developing redundancy in the system to ensure water system resiliency.
