SUBJECT: Incremental Development Alliance Boot Camps

Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to advise Council regarding the delivery methods of Phase 4 Small Developer Boot Camp of the Small Development Training and Technical Assistance by Incremental Development Alliance as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. See Appendix A for the proposed direction for an Online Small Developer Boot Camp instead of an in person version.

Background

CR363/2019 directed staff to work with Incremental Development Alliance to undertake Small Development Training and Technical Assistance (see Scope of Work attached as Appendix B). Incremental Development Alliance has completed Phase 1 to Phase 3 at outlined in Appendix B and previously scheduled the Phase 4 - Small Developer Boot Camp training for April 3rd and 4th.

Discussion

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restricting travel across the Canada/US border (where some Incremental Development Alliance staff are located) and restricting the gathering of groups of 5 or more people, the Small Developer Boot Camp was postponed. Incremental Development Alliance proposed an online version of Phase 4 -Small Developer Boot Camp and administration agree that an online version is appropriate given the current circumstance. By providing online training the momentum of the first Phases will be continued.

The deliverables of the contract have not changed, only the delivery method.
