- For Discussion: Proposed Committee Operational Goals
- 1. Annually define and liaise with our active internal and external network to garner information relating to senior issues and in concert with an effort to educate inform and improve the quality of life for seniors in our community
- 2. Establish questions with a senior's focus to be included in the city of Windsor's annual community survey
- 3. Establish a Committee Focus through a living Committee Strategic Plan that aligns with the committee's corporate mandate.
- 4. Reaffirm and establish the reporting relationship with the Senior Advisory Committee's Sub Committee: Age Friendly Windsor Network
- 5. Advise council on achievements or risks due to the City of Windsor level of compliance for inclusion in the World Health Organization's Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities
- 6. Advise council as needed on key issues and strategies that could be used by the city in effort to address issues relating to seniors
- 7. Identify barriers to access by seniors to City services and programs
- 8. Prepare a living calendar of key events and deliverables for the Committee (awards, reports, functions/forums)
- 9. Annually Establish a Committee financial plan
- 10. Prepare an annual report for Council on the committee's progress and identify risks, opportunities and achievements in enriching the health and quality of life of all seniors in this community
