Good Afternoon Ms. Ciacelli,
I am the solicitor for The Walker Power Building Inc.
I am writing to request that consideration of Council Report: S 177/2019 currently scheduled for January 6, 2020 be deferred to January 27, 2020.
For several weeks I have been speaking with Wira Vendrasco and Joshua Meloche about the terms of the conservation easement for that portion of an archaeologically significant turntable that rests in the land that Walker Power intends to purchase from the City (near Riverside Drive and Devonshire).
The turntable actually straddles property currently owned by Walker Power as well as the property that will be purchased by Walker Power from the City. Presumably the language of the easements (once agreed) will be the same.
Regrettably we were only notified of the committee's intention to place the issue (as it relates to the turntable that rests on the land currently owned by Walker Power) on the council agenda January 6, 2020 immediately prior to the holiday.
What appears to be two easements is actually one. I am requesting a deferral of this item until January 27th so that we can try to resolve the particular terms before the item is presented to council.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you, Kathleen Kathleen M. Montello Montello Law Professional Corporation 2510 Ouellette Avenue Suite 102 Windsor, Ontario N8X 1L4
